Charity on Makar Sankranti
The festival of Makar Sankranti is considered a festival of charity. On the day of Makar Sankranti, people think of the tradition of donating rice, urad dal peels, jaggery peanuts and donating them to wedding laddoos. Apart from this, the things made in the house are given to Brahmins and Pandits. Apart from this, people take the dishes made from sesame, jaggery, jowar millet, etc., to the home of their married daughters. This festival has been going on since ancient times. Apart from this, bathing in the Ganges is also considered of great importance. However, the most important of charity is that of food donation.

let’s give warmth of love to the needy
It is said that donations made on the day of Makar Sankranti to Brahmins, Pandits, and temples get the fruits of virtue for many births. If you donate food on the day of Makar Sankranti, you get a hundred times its result if you do it in a temple or a cowshed.
The donation of sesame is significant on the day of Makar Sankranti. And by donating jaggery, the defects of Sunny Surya and Guru, these three also end. Apart from this, donating jaggery on the day of Makar Sankranti also reduces poverty in the house, and Lakshmi becomes abode.
Apart from this, women contribute 14 things of honey in many places. Our religious scriptures have also told that if new clothes are donated to a poor needy, he also gets many merits.

Donation is good karma, but food donation to the needy is mahadan (generous donation). Donating food to the needy makes the world a beautiful and a better place for people to live.
Donate food to the less-privileged people and experience the sense of serenity and tranquillity in your soul and a connection to GOD. If each of us does the same, nobody will sleep on an empty stomach.
